Music Team 

We are a ministry devoted to worshiping our amazing God through music and song. Through singing, playing instruments, running the sound board, and coordinating multimedia, we have the privilege of lifting up the name of God in corporate praise!

We have several gifted musicians who sing, play guitar, bass, drums, piano, and string and woodwind instruments. The music team at Community Covenant Church utilizes members of our band, In Service, as well as others who are able to share their gifts on a weekly basis.

Our music on Sunday mornings contains a variety of musical styles. The team sings Contemporary worship songs with a blend of hymns and traditional choruses.

In Service — A Contemporary Christian Band

In Service is a band that was set up some years ago as a way for our music team to put together outreach concerts. In the beginning (as it is now) In Service is a bit different from the usual mold. This group of musicians is not a group of four nor  six nor any other number. The number of members changes over time. They don’t play one venue of music, they play any number of types and styles of music, depending on who is in the band at that time. For one concert the group might be made up of our music team, and the next it might be a group comprised of musicians from three or four local churches. On occasion we are able to bring in musicians we’ve played with in the past who now live out of town but still enjoy playing music with us.

Because of our diversity, we are able to make use of many instruments including acoustic guitar, electric guitar, flute, electronic keyboard, violin, piano, and various percussion instruments (including electronic drums). We perform a variety of music, depending on the concert direction.  If you have a particular style of music you’re wondering about, simply contact us and we’ll let you know what we’re playing.
