Welcome to Community Covenant Church

We are a multi-generational community that is seeking to be transformed by the teachings of Jesus Christ. We strive to be authentic and caring – growing in our relationship with Jesus and sharing His love and truth with others.

Womens Appreciation Dinner

We had a wonderful time at the women’s appreciation dinner on May 30. The men cooked and served the meal. A band played good music, and a story was shared by our very own master story teller, Bob Eustis.

Thanks to all the men who volunteered to make this possible, and a special thanks to Ed Mackley for organizing, coordinating, and working with all to pull this together.

SUMMER BIBLE STUDIES –
- Men’s Bible Study Tuesday evenings - This group will meet every other week at Carl Helfrich’s home June 9 – August 18 at 7:15 . The study will be “Adventures in the Book of Acts.”
- Carl Helfrich and Pastor Steve will facilitate the study.
- Ladies Bible Study will meet Thursday evenings in the Fellowship Hall June 18^th – July 30^th. It is a Beth Moore video series study on the book of Psalms.
- Lori Ehrett will facilitate the meetings.
LABOR DAY RETREAT AT PINECREST is Friday evening through Monday, Sept 4^th-7^th. It is a spiritual retreat for the entire family with lots of food, fun, and fellowship. The retreat is open to Community Covenant Church families and friends. Registration forms are on the table in the narthex, or you may call the church office for more information.

Join us for a powerful 12 week DVD Bible Study! The series will help you to develop a Biblical world view in the midst of a culture that says we should tolerate any world view.

We’re in the Tumbler!

Are you being tumbled? Last Sunday Lisa Sager presented a powerful program that challenges us all to allow ourselves to be tumbled. What am I talking about? Tumbling is an analogy that Lisa used to explain how we work together as community.

Similar to a rock tumbler, all of the members of CCC are placed together and get tumbled together in our interactions with one another. This tumbling creates friction, and friction smooths away the rough edges, and brings forth a durable shine or glow. Just as rough rocks that are hardly recognizable as gemstones are placed into a rock tumbler, and after many rotations in the tumbler with grit and sand, they come out polished; so we Christians are placed in a tumbler of fellow believers, and each of us with our rough edges, are tumbled around, may experience a few bumps and scrapes, and eventually through our interactions become polished and shine for the Lord and for all the world to see the Lord Jesus within us.

Lisa challenged us to join one another in the tumbler, and to the vision of our purpose here at Community Covenant Church. Thank you Lisa for your ability to help us look at our fellowship in a new way.

Prayer or Promotion and Marketing or History, Timeline and Pictures or Decorating or Food or Fun and Games.

We also need musicians, photographers, greeters and cleanup help.
