A new book club is forming for the Lenten season. We will meet on Monday mornings 10:30am at Kaldi’s Coffee in Kirkwood to read and discuss the book “The Pietist Option” by Christopher Gehrz. The book club is open to all and I’d love to have more people join us. You can find the book at https://www.amazon.com/Pietist-Option-Hope-Renewal-Christianity/dp/0830851941/.
We have a special service this Sunday for New Year’s Eve. We will meet at 12 Noon for a dinner church service of remembrance. We will remember what God has done for us in 2017 and look toward the work He’s calling us to in 2018. Bob Fagyal will share a message with us from Luke 2. Kids of all ages are welcome to the service.
Come be warm with us on New Year’s Eve. We will have the heater going and the coffee hot, not to mention the hot chicken pot pies for lunch.
There will be no regular Sunday morning service on December 24th so that we can all be together Sunday evening for the special Christmas Eve service. On Christmas Eve we will have a special music-oriented, family-friendly, story-telling, candle-lighting service to celebrate the birth of our Savior. The service will begin at 5:00p. Hope you can take part!
Come worship with us in Kirkwood Park this Sunday, October 15th at 10:30a. We will be in the Sugar Creek Ridge Pavilion near the tennis courts. Immediately following the worship service will be a picnic. All are invited and welcome to attend. We ask that everyone contribute a side dish, salad, or dessert for the picnic.
